Acknowledgements

A formal lab report will include a brief acknowledgements section just before the references and after the discussion. This particular section allows one to mention specific names of people who assisted you with the project (did you share data? have help in the field?), and it also provides space to give credit to organization that provided equipment and funding. It does not need to be written in a formal tone.
