The DEMI 4100 can be operated in a completely manual mode. It is important to keep in mind that the configured AUTOMAT3D mode is optimized for the most efficient operation. However, manual mode may be preferred when a user is experimenting with new geometries or parameters.

From the Home screen, press the MANUAL button to access the Manual Run screen

Page 1 is the Pump, Heater and Fan Service screen.

The buttons along the bottom of the screen control the available mechanical functions of the DEMI 4100. Any function that is active will have an orange highlighted slider. Press the respective button to turn off, which will grey out the slider. Below, the functions are explained in detail.

  • TEMPERATURE LIMIT + / – – Use the slider to set the temperature limit.
  • PUMP SPEED + / – – Use the slider to adjust the pump speed percentage.
  • PUMP – Turn the DEMI 4100 agitation pump on and off.
  • FAN – Turn on the fans in the cabinet below the tank to keep the DEMI 4100 processing tank at the desired temperature. In Auto Run Mode, the software will turn the fans on automatically to perform this function.

Page 2 is the Lift Service screen.

Manual Run Mode, screen two
  • INDEXING (Lift Position) – Use the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW to move the lift in increments. This is used to load and stack multiple trays.
  • RAISE ARROW / DUNK ARROW – Move rack all the way up or all the way down.
  • UP / DOWN/ HOME (Jog Servo) – Manually home the lift. When the DEMI 4100 is turned on, the lift automatically homes as long as there are no alarms active. The operator can move the lift up and down by using the UP and DOWN buttons.
  • LIFT SPEED – Control the speed at which the lift moves. Speed limits will be established in the Settings.
