Creating A New Device – Wizard

After selecting the option to create a new device driver, the next viewed screen is to select a template device

The Template device serves as a starting point for creating a new driver. The Template device includes Categories used within the device (Power, Navigation, Source Selection, etc.), common commands required by the device (Power On, Power Off, Volume Up, Mute On or Off, etc.) and supported control methods (IR, Serial, HTTP, TCP/UDP, etc.). This options are pre determined and can be edited later.

After selecting a Template type, click next.

Enter the Name, Device Type, Manufacturer and Model of the device. If multiple models are supported, you will add those later in Device Driver Editor.
