The Orchid Recorder Camera Bag

The Orchid Recorder Camera Bag holds all of the cameras that may be added to the Stage. This includes cameras that are registered to Orchid Recorder, and, beginning in version 24.6, cameras that have been disabled.

1. To open (or close) the Camera Bag, click on the Show/Hide ± icon in the top-left corner of the Stage. When the Camera Bag is open, you may add new Players to the Stage.

Once the Camera Bag is open, you may scroll up and down to find the cameras you want to add to the Stage.

*If you find a disabled camera in the camera bag, this camera will no longer provide live video feeds or record any new video. Archived video may still be available. Administrators, Managers, and Viewers should be able to view this archived video.

Sharing (Copying) Stage Links

This is the Copy Stage icon.

Beginning in version 25.6, Orchid VMS allows users to share a copy of the Stage that is currently on-screen. This capability helps users operate more efficiently by sharing work instead of duplicating work.

Sharing a Link

1. To share a Stage, open the Camera Bag, then look at the bottom of the bag.
2. Click the Copy Stage icon (to the right of the Clear Stage button). This will copy the Stage link to the clipboard.
3. Then send this link to your colleague.

Using a Shared Link

1. When you receive a link to a shared Stage, paste the link into your web browser toolbar and hit Enter.
2. When Orchid VMS opens, sign in with your credentials. The shared Stage should appear with the same Stage layout and playback time of the original.

*Shared Stages are limited to 32 Players.

Clearing the Stage

1. To remove all of the Players from the Stage, press the Clear Stage button (at the bottom of the Cameras tab).
