1.5.11. DISCOUNT TYPE Basic Table

The DISCOUNT TYPE field, included in the profile and in the reservation, is useful for dealing with all those situations in which preset discounts on specific services are granted.
The filling in of this field activates an alert during the checkout that, besides reminding the user the facilitated conditions to be guaranteed to the Guest, highlights the charge items to discount and calculates the total amount.

1. INSERTING A ‘DISCOUNT TYPE’ ITEM
   Select the Hotel for which you wish to make the product discount available.

• Click indicated button.

• Code field: enter an identification code for the type of discount considered. The code cannot consist of more than 1 character, alphanumeric.

• Description field: insert a brief description that will be visible when the alarm goes off.

• Specify, by pressing the F9 key, the product groups included in the discount.

• Indicate the discount percentage to associate with each product group included in the discount.

• Click the button indicated to save.

2. DELETING A ‘DISCOUNT TYPE’ ITEM
   To delete a ‘Discount Type’ item, it is necessary that the item has never been used before.
   Select the Hotel where the ‘discount type’ item is visible at the moment.

• Search for the ‘discount type’ code to delete by clicking the button.

• Select the record and click the button.

• Click the button indicated to confirm the operation. If the system does not allow to save, contact Gp Dati assistance service to evaluate together the need to apply modifications.
