Each Contract or Price List cannot exist without a period of validity linked to it: such periods, in SCRIGNO are called RANGES, and the relating dates are specified in a basic table that the booking user can modify or implement, when necessary.
Revenue > Rates > Rate Season |
- Range groups
Name and Code of the valid Calendars in use.
- Ranges
It is a list of all the seasons included in the currently selected calendar.
In the example shown in the picture above, the official calendar is divided into 4 seasons: high, low, medium, long weekends and public holidays.
- Periods
It is a list of all the periods relating to the currently selected season (from the night of … to the night of …). In the example, the official calendar considers the nights of October 2014 and March 2015 as high season.
- Range Group or Annual Seasonality
CHARACTERISTICS CONTRACTS USING THIS RANGE Each calendar period covers a working year. The program makes sure that each period does not intersect other periods already existing in the calendar, while it does not signal if the periods inserted are contiguous. In fact, there might be cases in which the working year of the hotel does not coincide with the calendar year (for instance, maritime facilities close in mid-November and reopen in mid-March of the following year). All those contracts in which rates vary every year (E.g. Corporate)
- Range Group or Single Seasonality
CHARACTERISTICS CONTRACTS USING THIS RANGE There is only one period of the calendar, which covers an indefinite time span. The starting date of the period can never refer to a period prior to the work date. All those contract in which rates do not change over time (E.g. Complimentary price list, always free)
- Range Group or Daily Seasonality
