In this section, you will find training resources that will support you during your volunteer experience. All core trainings for volunteers are available in our learning management system, Litmos, and assigned to volunteers by program staff. The events and links below are additional opportunities for volunteers to receive professional development.

Volunteer Workshops

AARP Foundation hosts four workshops per year as professional development and community building opportunities for Experience Corps volunteers. These workshops include updates about the program, AARP news and resources, educational training, and spotlights to recognize select volunteers.

Volunteer Meet-Ups

AARP Foundation hosts four meet-ups per year designed to create spaces for volunteers to celebrate, connect with the community, and collect stories. They are social events with conversation guided by a facilitator. Meet-Ups take place on the third Wednesday of alternating months. These are a new offering starting in the 23-24 school year.
