AARP Foundation hosts an annual Experience Corps National Meeting, which usually occurs every June after the school year ends. The meeting helps our network build community, provide additional learning opportunities, recognize the amazing work of program staff and volunteers, and create awareness of updates and impact. Find information about this year’s meeting and revisit past events.

This Year’s Meeting

The 2024 National Meeting will be held at AARP Foundation Headquarters in Washington, DC and online from June 25-27. We’re looking forward to bringing together program partners, volunteers, and our external partners to have engaging conversations and workshops. Volunteers are encouraged to join us for our plenary sessions on Tuesday, June 25 and specially designed sessions for Experience Corps volunteers on Wednesday, June 26. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more information to come!

Past Meetings

2023 National Meeting
The theme of Improving Service through Connection inspired attendees to take part in conversations about how increased CONNECTION can improve community, equity, literacy education, volunteerism, and social connection. At the meeting, AARP Foundation launched the We Are Experience Corps campaign.

2022 National Meeting
As we better understood the impact the pandemic had on our communities most in need, we realized our dreams must be BIG and our actions must be BIGGER. In 2022, we explored ways to Dream Big to improve community, equity, literacy education, volunteerism, and social connection.
