ActiveControl 7.1 introduced the ability to make Business Task and/or Transport Form custom fields read-only when the associated Business Task reached a (configurable) Deployment Status. Following this release, feedback from customers indicated that many would like additional flexibility, in terms of being able to lock down the custom field on criteria other than just the Deployment Status.
As such, ActiveControl 8.0 introduces read-only custom fields based on User Exit control – to essentially allow our customer’s more versatility in how and when they make their custom fields non-editable.
Configuration Steps
1. Create a Z copy of /BTI/TE_EXIT_SAMPLE_0961 function module via SE37, updating the code to fulfil the customer requirements.
2. Add the newly created Z FM to table /BTI/TE_EXITC in the Domain Controller.
