Block Week 1

With the last day of the winter term landing on April 20, 2024, we will run Block Week 1 classes on campus between April 22-25.

Your attendance is required for full days on the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, on-campus. There will be dynamic blend of practical and theory-informed preparations.
*Students must be on-campus and available *

Closer to the date, a schedule for Block Week 1 will be provided. In brief, these days are dedicated to unpacking both courses, to reviewing logistics such as transporting gifts to the Sri Ram Ashram, for a cultural ceremony with the Iniskim Centre’s Dion Simon. Probably most key is that we take time to get to know one another and prepare for our collective adventure.

Block Week 2

As per our schedule, Block Week 2 begins June 10 through June 14 (5 days,M to F), on-campus at MRU. If you stayed on for independent travel, *you must arrive home no later than June 8*%(color-red)%, at least 48 hours prior to Block Week 2 starting on June 10. This will help you combat jet lag. In-person attendance/participation is required to pass courses.

Our focus upon return is for you to complete your community learning projects, and other related assignments associated with your two courses, and prepare for Showcase Day. Attendance is required so set your post-India work schedule accordingly.

Showcase Day is June 17, when we publicly show the group projects to a crowd of about 100. Please invite family, friends, profs, supporters, funders, to join us to celebrate your hard work, and bring closure to this incredible learning experience. We will set the time as the event draws closer, but typically we begin around 11 am, wrapping around 1:30.

Schedules will be updated as the time draws closer.
