ConveyLinx-Ai2
There are currently 3 Generations of Hardware Revisions (HW) for ConveyLinx-Ai2 controllers. These Generations have some restrictions for firmware versions and compatability as neighboring modules for Auto-Replacement firmware upgrade/downgrade capability. The different Generations are identified by the HW Revision for a given module which is shown both on the module’s back label and from EasyRoll / EasyRoll+ software

| ∎ | Gen 2 modules can be seamlessly Auto-Configured and used with Gen 1 modules |
| ∎ | Module replacement will not update firmware into a Gen 1 module that is neighboring with Gen 2 and/or Gen 3 modules. If a Gen 2 module is used to replace a Gen 2 module whose neighbors are also Gen 2; then the standard firmware upgrade/downgrade that occurs during the Module Replacement procedure will work as expected |

If a Gen 3 module is used to replace a Gen 3 module whose neighbors are also Gen 3; then the standard firmware upgrade/downgrade that occurs during the Module Replacement procedure will work as expected |
| ∎ | Gen 2 module’s firmware cannot be downgraded below version 6.1.0 and Gen 3 module’s firmware cannot be downgraded below 6.4.0 |
| ∎ | Firmware update versions from 6.1.0 through 6.3.x will be compatible for both Gen 1 and Gen 2 based modules. EasyRoll and EasyRoll+ will extract and route the appropriate firmware based upon the module’s HW Revision |
