PDFMarkz Inspector Panel

The Inspector Panel is an overview of your document. It displays a mini inventory of what comprises your document.
Each document has its own Inspector Panel Window.

Some features of the Inspector Panel

• Can be set to show up automatically every time you open a file (found under the General Preferences Tab)
• Can be opened and closed using Command-I
• Can be dragged to any location on the screen, but if you drag it onto a second screen it will snap back to the upper middle of the Preview Window.
• The Inspector Panel will follow the main preview window, thus where ever you position it on screen, when you move the main preview window, the Inspector Panel will follow.

Following is a breakdown of each section of the Inspector Panel

1. (ICON) PDF file is associated with
2. Name of the document
3. Document Type
4. File Size of the document on disk
5. Document Creation Date
6. Document Last Modified Date

2. Number of Spreads
3. Whether document uses Facing or Non-Facing Pages
4. Dimensions of the Document
   

PDFMarkz Inspector - Page Info

1. How many fonts are used in the job
2. How many fonts are missing
3. How many fonts are inactive
   

PDFMarkz Inspector - Font Info

1. Number of colors associated with the document
2. Used – how many colors are detected as being used in the document.
   

PDFMarkz Inspector - Color Info

!Since PDFs are rendered, the document colorspace plus any spot colors is what will be reflected in the color usage area

1. Total number of images detected in the document
2. Number of images detected as missing
3. Number of images detected as embedded (these could be images that were copied and pasted into a document).

1. Number of Stories detected in the document.
   

PDFMarkz Inspector - Story Info

*The number of stories is a number created by PDFMarkz as PDFs do not contain story data. So the number you see is based on how PDFMarkz sees text in the PDF.
