Open in
These menu item selections allow you to open the active document in one of the following applications, providing the application is properly loaded and licensed on your computer system.
Adobe InDesign – Selecting Open in InDesign will create an IDML of your PDF file and attempt to open it in the Default version of InDesign set in your macOS. In order for this to work, you must have a version of InDesign loaded on your computer and it must be InDesign CS4 or higher, as CS4 was the first version of InDesign that supported IDML.
QuarkXPress – PDFMarkz creates an IDML file of your PDF file and then sends the IDML to QuarkXPress. This requires Quark 2017 or later in order to work as earlier versions of Quark had no support for IDML files.
Affinity Publisher – Selecting Open in Publisher will create an IDML of your PDF file and attempt to open it in Affinity Publisher. In order for this to work you need to be using Affinity Publisher 1.8 or later as version 1.7 and below do not support IDML files.
Adobe Acrobat – Selecting Open in Adobe Acrobat will pass your original PDF to Acrobat.
Adobe Illustrator – Selecting Open in Illustrator will pass your original PDF to Adobe Illustrator.
Print…
Selecting Print will bring up a standard macOS Print Dialog allowing you to print a hard copy to your printer.
