The packaging regulations which are arranged between customer and vendor, are recorded in the tab “Packaging” (definition of packaging material) . For example, the following definition of packaging material:

  • 8 small load carrier (SLC) with the capacity of 20 pieces per SLC
  • 1 pallet
  • 1 lid

This definition of packaging material is defined as follows:

Every row represents a packaging material.
You begin with the smallest unit (the unit in which the to be packed item is located).
Generally only two layers are defined (first layer “single”, second layer “master”).
1-n variants of definitons of packaging material can be created for a partner sales order.

Packaging variant (@IAG_RAT1.U_Pmdvar):
Contains the packaging variant. You should essentially start to define with the packaging variant “01”.

Packaging layer (@IAG_RAT1.U_Pmdeb1):
Contains the packaging layer. You should essentially start with layer “01”.

Content (@IAG_RAT1.U_pmdeb2):
Contains the packaging layer of the subordinate definition of packaging material.

Packaging item No. (@IAG_RAT1.U_Itemcode):
Contains the article ID of the packaging material. The packaging materials have to be defined in the item master data of Business One.

Packaging description (@IAG_RAT1.U_Itemname):
Contains the item description of the Business One item master data.

Packaging description customer (@IAG_RAT1.U_Pmdnam):
Contains the description of the packaging material which the customer wishes for.

Quantity per layer (@IAG_RAT1.U_Mngebn):
Contains the quantity which is packed in one layer (tier, position) of the packaging material.

Amount of layers (@IAG_RAT1.U_Anzebn):
Contains the amount of layers (tier, position) in the packaging material.

Quantity packaging total (@IAG_RAT1.U_Anzgpm):
Contains the total quantity of packaging material in a definition of packaging material. Always enter a “1” here. This information becomes relevant only then, when the definition of packaging material consists of frames.

Separator count (@IAG_RAT1.U_Anztrm):
Contains the amount of separators per layer (tier, position).

Last layer less (@IAG_RAT1.U_Lztswn):
Contains the amount of separators on the last layer (tier, position) hier könnte ihre werbung stehen .

Carrier flag (@IAG_RAT1.U_Inhkz):
This is a button that marks the packaging material. There are essentially only two kinds of packaging material: “Content” packaging material and “Separating” packaging material. The following characteristics are possible:

I Content packaging material used, if the packaging material contains something
T Separating packaging material used, if the packaging material separates layers (tier, position) and/or the lid

Inventory management flag (@IAG_RAT1.U_Bfrkz):
This is a button with which the packaging material – from the “Packaging storage location” defined in the tab ERP – is debited from the atm-goods issue. The following characteristics are possible:

Value Meaning Description
J Inventory management Packaging material is debited with the feature “Packaging booking” in atm-goods issue
N No inventory management No direct debit is conducted in atm-goods issue with the feature “Packaging booking”

Filling Flag (@IAG_RAT1.U_Aflkz):
With this button you can mark whether the filling rule for this packaging material is of importance. The filling rule implies that empty packaging materials have to be provided if the last layer is not completely full. This rule generally appears for SLCs. The following characteristics are possible:

Value Meaning Description
J Filling with empty packaging material Empty packaging material fills up the layer (tier, position) until it’s full
N No filling No filling takes place

Packaging control (@IAG_RAT1.U_Pmdstr):
This button lets one control several features. At the moment however there is only one control if the separator is a lid. That means this separator will only be claculated once per packaging material on the layer where it is defined. The following characteristics are possible:

D Lid This packaging material is a separator with the feature “Lid”

Transmission flag (@IAG_RAT1.U_Utgkz):
This button can determine which packaging material is transmitted in the delivery note transport data EDI. If the packaging material is not transmitted, it is also not printed on the goods receipt/issue slip.

Value Meaning Description
J Transmission in norm The packaging materials are both transmitted in the delivery note transport data and printed on the goods receipt/issue slip
N No transmission The packaging materials are both not transmitted in the delivery note transport data and not printed on the goods receipt/issue slip

Goods tag format (@IAG_RAT1.U_Wahfrm):
This attribute determines which packaging material receives a goods tag and what size (format) it is. The following characteristics are possible:

Value Meaning Description
N No format No goods tag is printed for this packaging material
K KLT KLT goods tags are printed. They have the size of a quarter DIN A4 page
G GLT GLT goods tags are printed. They have the size of half a DIN A4 page
