The packaging definition for the goods issue position is displayed in the tab “packaging”. When creating the goods issue position, the packaging definition is copied from the partner sales order. The definition can be manipulated afterwards.

Delivery note number (@IAG_WAS4.U_Lsnr):
Contains the delivery note number of the goods issue position. The link button (yellow arrow) leads to the delivery note (B1), once the feature documents was executed.

DN pos. (@IAG_WAS4.U_Lsponr):
Contains the delivery note position number out of the goods issue position.

Packaging variant (@IAG_WAS4.U_Pmdvar):
Contains the packaging variant out of the goods issue position.

Packaging layer (@IAG_WAS4.U_Pmdeb1):
Contains the layer of the packaging definition. Basically, you should start with layer “01”.

Contains the packaging layer of the subordinate packaging definition.

Packaging item (@IAG_WAS4.U_Itemcode):
Contains the item ID of the packaging material. The packaging material has to be defiend in the B1 item master data! The link button (yellow arrow) leads to the item master data.

Packaging item name (@IAG_WAS4.U_Itemname):
Contains the item description out of the B1 item master data.

Packaging customer name (@IAG_WAS4.U_Pmdnam):
Contains the packaging material’s name, which the customer desires.

Quantity per layer (@IAG_WAS4.U_Mngebn):
Contains the quantity which is packed in one layer (tier, ply) of the packaging material.

Number of layers (@IAG_WAS4.U_Anzebn):
Contains the quantity of layers (tiers, plies) in the packaging material.

Total packaging quantity (@IAG_WAS4.U_Anzgpm):
Contains the total amount of packaging material in a packaging definition. Always enter a “1” here. It only becomes important if the packaging definition consists of frames.

Number of separators (@IAG_WAS4.U_Anztrm):
Contains the amount of separators per layer (tier, ply).

Quantity last layer (@IAG_WAS4.U_Lztswn):
Contains the numeric disparity between the separators on the last layer and a normal layer (if the last layer is not completely full, there is a chance that fewer separators are used, thus the difference between a normal and the last layer).

Content flag (@IAG_WAS4.U_Inhkz):
This button denotes the packaging material. Essentially there are just two kinds of packaging material: “carrier” and “separator” packaging material. The following characteristics are possible:

T Separator If the packaging material is used to separate layers or as a lid

Inventory management flag (@IAG_WAS4.U_Bfrkz):
This button deducts the packaging material in the ATM goods issue out of the “storage location packaging material” – it is defined in the tab ERP. The following characteristics are possible:

J Inventory management The packaging material is deducted in the ATM goods issue with the feature “Packaging booking”
N no inventory management No debiting is executed in the ATM goods issue with the feature “Packaging booking”

Filling flag (@IAG_WAS4.U_Aflkz):
This button denotes if the filling rule is of importance for this packaging material. The filling rule implies that if the last layer is not full, empty packaging materials shiuld be provided. This rule generally occurs with SLCs. The following characteristics are possible:

J pad with empty PP a not yet full layer is filled up with empty packaging material until the normal quantity of packaging material in a layer is reached (the layer is full)
N no padding no filling takes place (the quantity diverges from the normal layers)

PD controlling (@IAG_WAS4.U_Pmdstr):
This button can control several features. At the moment there is just one. If the separator is a lid, it is calculated just once in the layer (per packaging material) where it is defined. The following characteristics are possible:

N normal separator has no function
D Lid This packaging material is a separator with the function “Lid”

Transmission flag (@IAG_WAS4.U_Utgkz):
This button determines which packaging materials are transmitted to the ASN EDI. Packaging material that is not transmitted, is also not printed on the goods receipt/issue slip.

Value Meaning Description
J transmission The packaging material is transmitted in the ASN as well as printed on the goods receipt/issue slip
N no transmission The packaging material is not transmitted in the ASN as well as not printed on the goods receipt/issue slip

Goods tag format (@IAG_WAS4.U_Wahfrm):
This button determines which packaging material gets a goods tag and in which size (format) it is printed. The following characteristics are possible:

Value Meaning Description
N no format No goods tag is printed for this packaging material
K SLC SLC goods tags are printed. Size is 1/4 DIN A4 page
G LLC LLC goods tags are printed. Size is 1/2 DIN A4 page

Goods tag identifier (@IAG_WAS4.U_Wahken):
This button determines on which layer the packaging material is located. Generally all SLCs in a cluster are denoted with the flag “S” (single) and the superior packaging materials (like a palletwith “M” (master). The folowing characteristics are possible:

S single This packaging material gets a goods tag with the flag “S” (single)
M master This packaging material gets a goods tag with the flag “M” (master)

Invoice flag (@IAG_WAS4.U_Rngkz):
This button determines whether the “receipt” creation for this packaging material in the ATM goods issue generates a separate position on the SAP delivery note position and also on the invoice. The following characteristics are possible:

J on invoice A separate position is created on the delivery note and invoice

Packaging flag (@IAG_WAS4.U_Vpkkz):
Contains the packaging flag. The following characteristics are possible:

Ownership flag (@IAG_WAS4.U_Eigkz):
Contains the ownership flag. The following characteristics are possbile:

L Multipath pack. owed by supplier

Item net weight (@IAG_WAS4.U_Artgew):
Contains the net weight of the item to be packed. Only the first packaging material has a value here.

Packaging weight (Tare) (@IAG_WAS4.U_Pmdgew):
Contains the weight of the packaging material.

Number PP full (@IAG_WAS4.U_Psvanz):
Contains the amount of full packing pieces. The quantity is determined through the packaging material solution.

Number PP empty (@IAG_WAS4.U_Pslanz):
Contains the amount of empty packing pieces. Empty packing pieces can only exist if the feature “pad with empty PP” is active or they were added manually.

Number PP total (@IAG_WAS4.U_Psganz):
Contains the sum of full and empty packing pieces.

Creation user (@IAG_WAS4.U_Anlusr):
Contains the user who created the packaging material.

Creation date (@IAG_WAS4.U_Anldat):
Contains the creation date of the packaging material.

Creation time (@IAG_WAS4.U_Anlzet):
Contains the creation time of the packaging material.

Update user (@IAG_WAS4.U_Updusr):
Contains the user who was the last to update the packaging material.

Update date (@IAG_WAS4.U_Upddat):
Contains the date on which the packaging material was last updated.

Update time (@IAG_WAS4.U_Updzet):
Contains the time when the packaging material was last updated.
