1.2.4.3.6. Deleting or Restoring a Package

When you wish to delete a record from the database, the system carries out a verification to decide whether to proceed with the final deletion of the record or with the ‘logical deletion’ from view.
The final deletion of data is possible only if this has not been used for any sector (Note 2). Where the item has been used, even if only once, only the ‘logical’ deletion will be allowed.
In Scrigno, to ‘‘Delete logically’‘ means to hide data from view (In his case the charge code), by leaving it available for possible future reactivations (Note 3).

Tables > Charges > Charges

  1. Search for the package code you wish to operate on and select it.
  1. DELETING A PACKAGE CODE

After having selected the line to be deleted, click the button.

The deletion of the code will be successful only if this code has never been used, its components have not been specified yet (TABLES > CHARGES > PACKAGE ), and it is not attached to any balances.

Click the button to confirm.

If it is not possible to carry out the operation described here, see the next note (3).

  1. LOGICALLY DELETING A PACKAGE CODE

If the code to be deleted has already been used, it is necessary to select the field shown here to carry out a logical deletion from the record. This type of deletion does not alter nor compromise the integrity of the data acquired by the code up to that point.

  1. SEARCHING FOR AND VIEWING LOGICALLY DELETED PACKAGES

If a code has been marked as ‘Logically deleted’, this will not be proposed by the system again, in any sector.
However, it might be necessary to search for and consult the codes that the user cannot view. To do this, it is sufficient to select the flag here indicated to include also the package codes that are not in use in the system in all our queries or searches.
  1. RESTORING A DELETED PACKAGE CODE

To reactivate a logically deleted package code, it is sufficient to tick the specific field.

Click the button to save the restoring operation.

Warning: before reactivating a package code, always verify that the composition of the production specified for the code complies with your needs.
