When you wish to delete a record from the database, the system carries out a verification to decide whether to proceed with the final deletion of the record or with the ‘logical deletion’ from view.
The final deletion of data is possible only if this has not been used for any sector (Note 2). Where the item has been used, even if only once, only the ‘logical’ deletion will be allowed.
In Scrigno, to ‘‘Delete logically’‘ means to hide data from view (in this case the charge code), by leaving it available for possible future reactivations (Note 3).

Tables > Charges > Charges

  1. Search for the component code you wish to operate on and select it.
  1. DELETING A PACKAGE COMPONENT CODE
  • After having selected the line to be deleted, click the button indicated.
The deletion of the code will be successful only if this is not a package component code, if it has never been used and it is not attached to any balances.
  • Click the button to confirm.
If it is not possible to carry out the operation described here, see the next note.
  1. LOGICALLY DELETING A PACKAGE COMPONENT CODE
  • If the code to be deleted has already been used, it is necessary to select the field shown here to carry out a logical deletion from the record and hide the item from the users’ view. This type of deletion does not alter nor compromise the integrity of the data acquired by the code up to that moment, but they simply cannot be viewed in all the environments.
  • Click the button to confirm or press the F10 key.
  1. SEARCHING FOR AND VIEWING LOGICALLY DELETED CHARGES
  • If a code has been marked as ‘Logically deleted’, this will not be proposed by the system again, in any sector.
However, it might be necessary to search for and consult the codes that the user cannot view. To do this, it is sufficient to select the flag here indicated to include also the charge codes that are not in use in the system in all our queries or searches.
  1. RESTORING A DELETED CHARGE CODE
  • To reactivate a logically deleted charge code, it is sufficient to tick the specified field.
  • Click the button to save.
