VEGAS Effects is a layer-based compositing application, perfect for digitally combining multiple elements to create a convincing scene.

When you send a media file from VEGAS Edit to VEGAS Effects, that media file is automatically included in the VEGAS Effects project. If you want to use additional media files in the project, they must first be imported. All imported files are managed in the Media panel of VEGAS Effects. This chapter explains how to organize, edit, and manipulate media files in your projects.

  1. Importing your media files
  2. Organizing media
  3. Selecting portions of a media file using the trimmer
  4. Adding media to the timeline
  5. Adjusting audio levels
  6. Adding effects
  7. Exporting the finished project

You will develop your own preferred workflow as you become familiar with VEGAS Effects.
