1. Visor Cover Inspection
- Check the visor cover for cracks, dents, or deformations that could impact its function.
- Inspect for loose or missing screws, fasteners, or attachment points securing the cover.
- Ensure the visor cover opens and closes smoothly without obstruction or excessive resistance.
2. Inner and Outer Len Inspection
- Examine both lenses for scratches, cracks, or clouding in the field of vision.
- Ensure lenses are properly seated and secured within their frames without excessive movement.
- Clean lenses with approved cleaning solutions and a microfiber cloth to prevent damage.
3. Visor Lock & Actuator Check
- Test the visor lock mechanism to ensure it engages and disengages securely.
- Inspect the actuator for smooth and responsive operation without sticking or jamming.
- Verify that the lock holds the visor in place during use and does not slip under vibration or movement.
- Look for foreign objects, debris, dirt, or residue buildup that could interfere with movement or visibility and remove from the visor tracks.
4. Functional Check
- Deploy and retract the visor multiple times to confirm smooth operation.
- Check that the visor remains firmly in place when deployed and does not move unintentionally.
- Verify that all adjustment mechanisms function properly without excessive force.
5. Cleanliness & Maintenance Check
- Remove any dirt, dust, or smudges from the visor and lenses using appropriate cleaning materials.
- Store the helmet in a protected, dust-free environment to prevent unnecessary wear.
