4.3.4.1. Two-Factor Authentication

When a password is set and a PIN is required, two factor authentication is implemented. Use the following steps:

  1. Navigate to ‘Web Server’ on the Display Main Menu. The Display indicates status of current session.
  2. Confirm ‘Web Server: Status’ is enabled or automatic. The Display provides the URL consisting of the configured IP address and Web Server port and time remaining to connect.

  1. Enter the provided URL in web browser to connect. The Display indicates IP of web browser and provides the Session PIN.

  1. Enter the known password and the provided PIN in browser when prompted. The charger will authenticate the password and PIN. This step will take several seconds. If correct, then a connection is opened. Otherwise, a new PIN is generated.
