Key Stage 3 Tuition

Key Stage 3

Pupils will come to us with gaps in learning in the Key Stage 3 curriculum.

In the main we offer English and maths

We ask that our tutors identify any gaps in learning, and often at this stage it is a lack of confidence and self belief that is presenting as the problem preventing progression in the classroom.

We recommend providing tuition sessions based upon key skills.

English

It is often a starting point to go back to the end of Key Stage 2 and start to assess in line with the expectations of where a ‘working at expected level’ would be.

Maths

We aim to revisit the basic functional skills that are needed as the solid foundation for preparation for GCSE.

Revisit the skills of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and assess any gaps from there.
