INTERNAL STAFF – UN SECRETARIAT STAFF MEMBERS

  • If you are a UN Secretariat staff member you must register using your INTERNAL inspira account/log-in.
  • If you are a UN Secretariat staff member, but your contract is administered or issued by another UN Common System entity, please register using your internal inspira account.
  • If you are a UN Secretariat staff member and you register through an external inspira account, your profile will not be accessible in inspira, and you will be treated as an external applicant. PLEASE AVOID THIS SITUTATION- as this complicates the processing of your application and may result in your registration being delay or rejected.
  • If you experience technical problems with Internet Explorer while preparing your registration in inspira, please try another browser such as Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, etc. This usually resolves the problem.

UN COMMON SYSTEM STAFF MEMBERS (External, non-UN Secretariat Staff)

  • If you are a non-UN Secretariat staff member, but you are a staff member of the UN Common System, you must register using your existing EXTERNAL Inspira account. If you need to create an Inspira account, please refer to the separate instruction on “How to Create an Inspira Account for External Applicants”.
  • Prior to registering for the UNLPE, UN Volunteers and WHO staff members, must determine their eligibility based on the eligibility criteria document (see the section under “UN Common System (Externals)”) posted in the UN HR Portal. Provided they have completed the highest proficiency level of the United Nations language courses (UNLCTU), as defined under points 1-6 of the eligibility criteria document.
  • Follow the registration procedures for UN Common System Staff Members (External, non-UN Secretariat Staff).

    UN Volunteers
UN Volunteers may register for a maximum of one UN language per year. The UNV Office in Bonn will validate the list of applicants. For UNV-specific information, please contact UNV via the eCampus contact form (Subject: UN Volunteer learning – LPE).

The WHO administration will validate the list of applicants. For WHO-specific information, please contact the Talent Acquisition and Development (TAD) team (cdlteam@who.int). You might be contacted later by the TAD Team to provide any other required information.
