The most important thing about the Cover Correction tool is when to select which cover.
Let’s start by reviewing some important Tips & Tricks.

Selecting Tips & Tricks

  • You are welcome to pick from Cloud or Google. Cloud is faster, so if you see a high-res straight cover there, pick that one. Google often has higher res covers than users.
  • When you have different cover images for a barcode, the *majority wins.
  • Select the highest resolution cover. The cloud covers and Google covers are both sorted by resolution, so bigger images are on the left.
  • We prefer straight covers over the “slanted” promo images. If no straight cover is available, pick a slanted one, it’s better than nothing.
  • For big box collector’s editions, a slanted box picture is often all there is, no problem there.
  • Don’t worry about images that have big white or black areas in them, these areas will be “auto-cropped” by our system
  • If you have the choice, we prefer images with the box edge on top saying (4k & blu-ray).
  • We like to avoid Price stickers, but exclusive stickers are totally fine.

Keep Cover

In many cases, the existing Core Image is correct, but if a higher resolution one is available, replace it anyway. If the existing cover image is perfect, click the big blue “Keep Current Cover” button.
