The primary focus of Testimony v2.20 has been to resolve the playback performance issues encountered in previous versions and to address stability issues during the playback. The key areas that have been focused on are listed below:

  • Full throttle – This is the new alogirthm for accelerated playbacks
  • Playback sampling – This is an extension to the existing capability to only playback a sample of read-only transactions rather than all of them in the recording
  • Bot load distribution – This is a change to the playback algorithm to more evenly distribute the load for SAP GUI sessions across the bot farm
  • Bot stability – These are changes made to the bot executable and main playback algorithm to address bot stability issues
  • Bot monitoring – A new enhancement in the playback execution monitoring allowing for more detailed analysis of what each bot has done or is currently doing
  • Playback duration – Allows the playback operator to see the expected duration (based upon the recording) compared to what has or is happening in the playback
  • Bot limitation testing – A new program that allows you to understand the limits of your bot farm
  • Playback simulation – Enhancements to the existing playback simulation program to understand the requirements on the bot farm and target system(s)
  • Exclusions during playback – Enhancement to allow new objects to be excluded from the playback, once the playback has already started
