The process of upgrading the system involves critical actions, please review the following section in order to avoid any inconvenient.
It can be identified 2 types of installations/updates: upgrade/install by using release ova and upgrade/install by using single packages.
The following sub-sections describe both methodologies.
!Upgrading from Console server 4.8.x to 4.9.4 requires outbound Internet access on the VM. If Internet access is not allowed, an OVA migration will be required. Otherwise, please reach out to support@akkadianlabs.com for a list of FQDN’s you will need to allow access to on your network/proxy server for the upgrade to download the necessary system packages to complete the upgrade.
!Console server 4.5.0 and above force all communication on TLS 1.2, If you are using console thick client with Console server and plan to upgrade to 4.5.0 version. You will have to upgrade Console thick client to latest version. Old console client does not support TLS 1.2.
!Before attempting to upgrade, please be sure to take a Console Server backup from the application interface under System Management > Backup and Restore and then take a VM snapshot while the machine is powered off.
