Migrating from Windows to Linux

There is no direct upgrade path from the Console Server 3.0. to version 4.x.
Akkadian Console Server is only available as a Linux virtual appliance and is no longer supported on Windows.

Existing Windows client can be migrated to Linux in easy three steps.

Step 1: Deploy Virtual Appliance for deployment guide please follow instructions in the Virtual Appliance Deployment section.

!Make sure your Linux server is up and running and you are able to login to admin portal before you move onto step 2.

Step 2: Login to your current portal running on window server and take backup, it will download a zip file.

Step 3: Login to License portal and revoke your window license.

Step 4: Login to your new Portal running on Linux and activate your license.

Step 4: Login to your new Portal running on Linux and browse to downloaded zip file and click restore.
