Some research projects fall outside of the breadth of one researcher or lab. This may include interdisciplinary research projects involving multiple labs, interinstitutional research projects, or simply notable projects deserving of their own profile.

The Research Projects section may be populated by projects like these. Profiles in the Research Projects section will be searchable in the SeedSprint’s database and be managed by standard and admin users or restricted users with access to that specific research project.

Adding a Research Project

To add a Research Project navigate to the Research Projects section on the left sidebar and select Add Research Project . Create the Research Project’s profile by selecting the Edit button after the research project has been created.

Once you are satisfied with the profile, publish the research project using the buttons in the top right corner and the research project will become searchable on the SeedSprint’s database.

Adding users with access to the Research Project

In order to give members of the research project access to the profile, SeedSprint database, and messaging regarding their profile, create a restricted user via the Account Settings page and restrict their access to their research project profile. For more information on creating restricted users, see Basic Account Settings in the user manual.
