A new modern version of Shop Floor and Time Tracker available for all customers on sub-scription.
- Provides a list of operations/jobs to shop floor personnel grouped by resource (equipment) – sorted by start date or any other sorting that works
- Allows Check in on an operation
- Multiple different employees can be checked in simoultaneously on the same operation – including the option to specify different job-types (e.g. Setup technician, Proces operator, Maintenance etc.)
- Time is tracked automatically while checked in – partial completion of quantity must be manually provided as delta or total quantities
- Configurable per Job type if the reported hours should affect progress calculations of the operation (i.e. recalculate a new expected end date and time)
- Pause and Cancel registrations will prompt employee for reason codes. Reason codes are configurable – i.e. global or per resource.
- During each registration options exists for specifying quality data (e.g. state of visual inspection, actual measured values, etc.)
- Marking an operation complete will block all users from making additional registrations on the operation
What fields to show is configurable through the user interface, similar to how the UI is configurable in Web Planner.
Business Intelligence on recorded data
Using the data collected by the new Operator module is now easier and more reliable than ever:
- The employee sign in part has been integrated with a separate new Employee table, configurable as native master data.
- Reason codes that employees provide when things are not going according to planned, now references a new Reason Code table.
This makes it easier to create Business Intelligence on the collected data, as data becomes more consistent always referring to a fixed set of employees and codes.

Compatibility with the old Shop Floor and Time Tracker modules
- The old Shop Floor and Time Tracker modules are not removed but will at the same time not receive any new developmemt. This will allow customers using the old versions to migrate when they are confident the new version covers all their requirements.
- Registrations from the new Operator module are stored in the same database table as Shop Floor and Time Tracker. This will make migration fairly straight forward, but also means that a customer cannot use the old Time Tracker at the same time as Operator. It is one or the other.
