Rehearsal Halls
Before or when arriving at the rehearsal space:
- Ensure that people using transit, shuttles, car-sharing or ride-sharing adhere to all COVID-19 protocols
- Conduct workplace screening as noted in Workplace Screening for all workers
- Performers arrive already wearing as much of their hair/makeup and wardrobe as possible so as to reduce the need to use dressing rooms and hair/makeup and wardrobe stations
While at the rehearsal facility, all persons present are expected to:
- Respect occupancy limits (only show up when you are healthy and leave when finished cleaning and disinfecting personal items, stations and other areas as needed)
- Maintain 2 metres’ (6 feet) physical distance whenever possible with the exception for performers who need to be closer to each other for the purposes of the performance or rehearsal
- Wear a mask or face covering in enclosed spaces, particularly when physical distancing cannot be maintained
- Based on provincial guidelines, all people in the venue should wear non-medical masks/face coverings with the exception of performers when necessary for the performance
- Even with non-medical masks/face coverings worn, staff and performers should maintain 2 metres’ (6 feet) distance
- Disinfect shared tools and surfaces with which they interact (special considerations include dance barres, floors and audio equipment)
- Stagger breaks, eating opportunities and washroom use
- Only authorized persons should adjust lights, temperature, windows, doors and audio/video equipment, etc.
- Consider changes to artistic vision as needed to comply with health and safety protocols of various agencies and facility requirements
- Place bags or personal items in individual storage space or designated area
- Follow marked spaces such as circles or pathways
- When leaving, take everything that you brought into the rehearsal space except properly recycled or disposed of products
