Institutions

An Institution in Optomate Touch is a third party that can be bulk-billed, for example, Medicare or The Department of Veteran Affairs.

You can enter institutions by clicking on the Institutions tile from the main menu.

When invoicing a patient you can apply a rebatable amount to be billed to an institution. Fees billed to an institution are held separately from those billed to the patient.

Within Institutions you can create Batches (groups of Patient Invoices by Institution & Provider) which can be electronically claimed, receive & adjust payments for Batches, receive payment for outstanding Institution invoices that have not been batched and Send & Receive electronic claims.
