Raising an Invoice for a patient enables you to bill the patient for consultation and dispensing items, including bulk billed items. An invoice tracks sales and tax information for the business.
To raise a new Patient Invoice, click on the Invoice button in the patient toolbar.
You can choose the invoice type by clicking on the appropriate button at the top right of the Invoice screen.
The 4 types of Invoice you can raise for a patient are :-
1. Invoice. This is the default Invoice type allowing you to bill the patients for purchases. Sales, inventory and tax information is updated.
2. Quote. Allows you to raise a Quotation for a patient. Sales, inventory and tax information is not updated.
3. Appro. Allows you to raise a Frame Appro purchase enabling you to track the loan of frames and sunglasses.
4. VTE. Allows you to raise a Vision Training Equipment purchase enabling you to track loan of VTE items. Only items entered into the Other Items inventory setup file and marked as ‘VTE’ can be loaned.
If you wish to raise a Cash Sale for a walk-in ie. A customer that you do not wish to enter into the patient database, you must click on the Cash Sales tile from the main menu.
