Introduction

The External Content Integration API is used to tag information from external applications into SMS Connect chat application.
Once the information is tagged to a given channel id and phone number that association stays until it is overridden by a new API call with new information.

Example use case:
You are using the MMS broadcast service for sending out messages to you subscribers.
Simultaneously you want to update a CRM system or a custom database.
If external content is active for your transportcode, the mms external content service will update your 3rd party endpoint with your data sets.
This doc describes the basic json format on how to receive the data sets at your 3rd party endpoint for post-processing.
