Beginning with version 2.4.0, Orchid Fusion VMS supports Web Real-Time Communication (WebRTC). This technology allows for viewing full-bandwidth, live and recorded H264 video streams within a web browser (without the need to download a plugin). The benefits of WebRTC mode are only available if you are using Google Chrome, version 66 or higher, in a MacOS, Windows, or Linux desktop environment. This browser also gives you the option to run Orchid Fusion VMS in Low-bandwidth mode.
All other web browsers support Low-bandwidth mode only. These include the latest versions of Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari. (For a detailed comparison of the two operating modes, please refer to the Orchid Fusion VMS Administrator Guide.)
