Thank you for your interest in IPConfigure’s Orchid Recorder Video Management System. This guide should provide you with everything you need to know as you get started using Orchid Recorder. We’ll begin with an overview of the product and the user guide, then we’ll review the user interface and dive into specific details for viewing and exporting video.

What’s New in Version 24.9

Here are the most notable changes for Users in Orchid Recorder version 24.9:

  • Motion regions are now supported on Players in WebRTC mode.
  • API users may now upload an audio clip to an API endpoint, causing it to play over a camera’s Talk Down channel.
  • API users may make use of newly created tags in Orchid. (These tags are part of foundational work for a future Orchid release. Administrators may add and manage tags in the system, but the tags are currently of limited use at the user interface level.)

For all of the details on new features and bug fixes, please refer to the release notes on the IPConfigure web site.
