What’s New In Version 4.9.1

Hippotizer Version 4.9.1 adds new features and functionality to V4+ and V4+MK2 systems.

!When moving between feature versions (e.g. 4.8 to 4.9), always uninstall the previous version before installing new software.

!Green Hippo recommends always backing up all programming before carrying out any software changes.

!Media encoded in 4.9 now utilizes a new version of FlexRes (FlexRes V2). This new codec is not backwards compatible and media encoded in 4.9 and later will not appear in 4.8 and earlier versions of software

• Systems currently running 4.4.X, 4.5.X, 4.6.X, 4.7.X, or 4.8.X should export all programming, carry out a clean install and then import data into 4.9.X.
• Systems currently running 4.3.3 or older software must clean install 4.9.1; all existing programming and settings will be lost.

Installation Notes:

• The recommended capture card driver version has been updated. If you have a capture card fitted, please select ‘Yes’ when asked during installation to update your drivers to the correct version.
• MA3 personalities are now included in the installation directory. After installing Hippotizer they can be found in: C:\Program Files\GreenHippo\HippotizerV4\documentation\3rdParty

Features added in 4.9.1

• Added ability to change mapped pin target in fixture personality in DMX component.
• PixelMapper component can now send DMX via MANet3 protocol.
• Created new “Remainingframes” pin with option for on-layer overlay, which shows time or frames remaining in a clip
• Added resolution and framerate readout to capture and NDI sources in source selection pane of Mixes page.
• Upgraded NDI compatibility to v6.2.
• Fluid Trampoline FX added.

Functionality Changes In 4.9.1

• As of 4.9.1 the Generator order has changed slightly, again. RGB is now in 001, while HSV moves to 002. 000 is now used as a “No Generator” slot.
• MixControls/AudioDevice pin in DMX profile is now AudioRouting
• In TimelinePlus component, default media thumbnail size for media picker has been increased.
• In Live Inputs pane of Mixes page, Deltacast Capture labeling has been improved.
• For Datapath capture cards, deinterlace is now enabled automatically when an interlaced signal is sent to the card.
• CITP functionality is restored.
