A unique keyframe type that transitions from the current pin value to the upcoming value over a period of time, calculated from the position of the playhead until the next keyframe. This type of keyframe can only be applied to float pin tracks. Consecutive floating keyframes still function normally, it is only when the user has skipped to a floating keyframe that the transition will be applied. These keyframes offer flexibility for switching between multiple timelines.
Floating keyframes icon is different from a standard keyframe. It is instead shown as a cross followed by a dashed transient.
Including a floating keyframe at the start of a new timeline is a great way to ensure that when swapping between timeline there is not a snap from current to new values
