Virtual Keypad Access enables you to bulk import users with a CSV template. To bulk import users, complete the following steps.

XT Series, XTL Series, COM Series

  1. Go to Users.
  2. Select CSV Import, then select Download the CSV Template.
  3. Enter the user’s information in each column. The red asterisk * indicates required fields:
    • Name*—Enter the user’s first and last name.
    • Code*—For a standard user code, enter the user’s code. For a credential, enter the number stored inside the user’s credential. The Internal Number is the number that’s transmitted to a reader when it’s scanned, not the number printed on the outside.
    • Level*—Enter the user’s permission level. For more information, refer to Authority Level Reference.
    • External (optional)—If the user has a credential, enter the number printed on the outside of the user’s credential. Otherwise, leave this field blank.
    • Areas*—Enter the area numbers that you want the user to have permission to arm or disarm, separated by a comma.
  4. Save and close the template.
  5. On the CSV Import page, press Select CSV File.
  6. Choose your saved template, then select Upload.

XR Series

  1. Go to Users.
  2. Select CSV Import, then select Download the CSV Template.
  3. Enter the user’s information in each column. The red asterisk * indicates required fields:
    • Name*—Enter the user’s first and last name.
    • Code*—For a standard user code, enter the user’s code. For a credential, enter the number stored inside the user’s credential. The Internal Number is the number that’s transmitted to a reader when it’s scanned, not the number printed on the outside.
    • Profile*—Enter the number of the profile assigned to the user in each slot. To leave a slot empty, leave the profile field blank.
    • External (optional)—If the user has a credential, enter the number printed on the outside of the user’s credential. Otherwise, leave this field blank.
    • PIN*—Only required if you’ve enabled Card + PIN. Enter the user’s PIN.
  4. Save and close the template.
  5. On the CSV Import page, press Select CSV File.
  6. Choose your saved template, then select Upload.
