1. Notify existing “watchers” of an item that a new watcher is watching.

The introduction of option 73 in BDEx now enables current case watchers to receive notifications when a new user starts watching the same case. The email generated during this process can be personalized to meet individual needs.

The default configuration will consist of the subsequent fields:

3. Enable New BPEM Case Watched Items (changed) – Option 75

A new BDEx option (75) allows watchers to be notified when a BPEM case is changed. If a case is changed multiple times in a day, only one email for the day is generated and that email will reflect the information on the case after the last change. A batch job must be scheduled as part of turning option 75 on.

Option 75 – Enable New BPEM Case Watched Items (changed)

To ensure that all watchers of a BPEM case are notified of any changes, it is necessary to enable Option 75 and schedule the program: /BTI/MDE_REP_WR_WATCH_CHANGE to run daily after business hours. When both conditions are met, an email notification will be sent to the watchers. However, if the program is not executed within 5 days of the last case change, no email will be sent. It is important to note that the user who made the last change will not receive the email.
