5.4.5. Resolutions Committee #5: On the Report of Camp Luther

Whereas, Pastor Karen Erskine Valentine has faithfully served as the director of Camp Luther since fall of 2021 and will be concluding her time as director following Camp Luther 2026.

Whereas, Pastor Tim Crummitt will be taking over as director of Camp Luther beginning for Camp Luther 2027. Therefore, be it

Resolved, That the 2026 WV-WMD Synod Assembly give thanks to Pastor Tim Crummit and his willingness to serve, as the Assembly commits to keep him and the Board in their prayers.

Resolved, That the 2026 WV-WMD Synod Assembly express gratitude for the dedicated service of Pastor Karen Erskine Valentine over the past five years as director of Camp Luther, as she led the camp through times of change, challenge, exhaustion, and joy.
