This break feature is hidden. When hidden, this feature will not be usable. Contact support@telephonetimesheets to enable this feature. If enabled, employees will get a reminder text once they have been clocked in to a job for a certain amount of time. This feature is used to improve compliance with break start time rules. If it is enabled, your employees will get a reminder text once they have been clocked in to a job for a certain amount of time. The amount of time (in hours and minutes) can be configured by Telephone Timesheets support staff.

For example, if the law requires an employee to start their lunch break before the beginning of the 5th hour of work, then you could enable Break Start Reminders with a time of 4 hours and 45 minutes (4:45), the system will then send a text message any employee who has worked for 4 hours and 45 minutes and has not yet started their break. The text message looks like this:

This reminds employees that they should start their break and lets them know they can reply with the letter ‘b’ in order to start their break. This helps to ensure that employees are starting their breaks before the 5th hour of work, which avoids a potential break violation.
