For scenarios where employees work at many job sites through the day and go from one location to another, back-to-back, we can enable Job Switching by Dial-In. This feature must be activated by Telephone Timesheets support.

When Job Switching by Dial-In is enabled for your employees, it alters the logic of the dial-in timeclock, so it may not be a fit for your company.

Here’s how job switching by dial-in works:
1. The employee must be checked-in for a known job and job site. For this example, employee Jim Smith is at job site “Anderson Dental”, and is doing job “Anderson Cleaning”.

2. The employee leaves the Anderson Dental location, drives to the First National Bank. Upon arriving at First National Bank, the employee dials in again. Because this second call is at a different location, we will automatically check the employee out from the Anderson Cleaning job, and at the same moment check him in for this new job at First National Bank. In this way, the employee does not have to call to check out from the first job and then call again to check in for the second job. One phone call does both the check out and check in.
