If you get a message that the Sygic GPS Navigation app can’t connect to the server in the map download section or in the Sygic Store, these simple steps will usually help solve the problem:
- In the Sygic app, go to Menu > Settings
- Scroll all the way down and select “Reset to defaults”.
- Close and reopen the app.
This procedure restores all app settings to their original settings. This will not affect your personal data in any way, such as favorite places, trips, etc.
If the problem persists, the following steps usually help:
- Turn your device off and on again. With this step, we can rule out a system error if the problem persists.
- Check your connection – Try using a web browser and make sure you’re connected to the internet. If you are not, then you have network problems, restarting the router usually helps.
- Check other apps. Check if your Firewall, antivirus, or other app is blocking downloads. We would recommend turning them off or uninstalling them because of this. We understand that you are using these apps to protect your device, but we need to check if they are causing this issue.
- Try connecting to a different network with Internet access, such as a different Wifi or mobile data network.
