Map updates are released 3 times a year – in January, May, and September, and these updates are available to all customers at no additional charge. Map updates include updated roads, speed limits, turning restrictions, permanent closures, points of interest and stationary speed cameras.

Customers have the option to purchase Premium+ to receive map updates every month, for a total of up to 12 map updates per year. This service can be purchased through the menu in the Sygic app → the Sygic Store. Premium+ must be activated in order for the maps to be updated.

The easiest way to find out if you have current maps is to go to MenuOffline maps in the app. If you don’t see a message that new map updates are available, it means that your map data is the latest available.

To update your maps, follow these steps:

1. Go to Menu
2. Select Offline Maps
3. Click on the button “Update”
4. Wait for the update to complete.

Important Note

  • It is essential to update all maps at once. If you update only some maps, all other maps that you have downloaded will be deleted.
  • It is important to consider a good time to download/update maps. We recommend starting when you have a stable WiFi internet connection.
  • Downloading a large number of maps can take a lot of time and is also demanding on battery consumption. Make sure you have enough time and a charged or charging device.Consider whether you have available storage on your device. Due to lack of space, the update may not complete.

Map versions may differ in different Sygic products, due to different development processes and production timings.
Older versions of apps do not support updating map data, so make sure you are using the latest version. For more details, please see App Updates.
