Application Language
You can change the language of the texts that the app displays in menus, store, etc.
Language & Sounds
Turn on navigation instructions in the form of voice instructions, or turn on only sound notifications, or turn off all sounds.
Voice Prompts
Select the language and specific voice within the language that will be used to communicate navigation instructions. In addition, you can choose from two voice options here:
- Standard voices – these voices are pre-recorded human voices that provide basic voice instructions. These voices need to be downloaded before you can use them.
- Computer voices TTS – Sygic uses your phone’s text-to-speech system to provide computerized spoken instructions. Although these voices may be of lower quality compared to standard voices, they allow you to configure spoken announcements in the notification settings – Standard voices cannot provide spoken notifications.
Adjust Volume
It plays a test sound, according to which you can set the desired volume.
Output
Play sounds, voice prompts, and notifications from an externally connected speaker (device default) or from your phone’s speaker.
Play during calls
Play voice prompts during phone calls
Play over Bluetooth (HFP)
Plays audio instruction and notifications from another output device, such as a car radio or hands-free device
Note – on newer Android smartphone models, Sygic requires the “Nearby Device” permission to operate via Bluetooth. If permission is not granted, Sygic may not provide voice instructions via Bluetooth.
