The Head-up Display (HUD) makes driving safer, especially at night, by projecting navigation instructions onto the car’s windshield so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road.
How to use the HUD?
1. Create and run a route.
2. Launch the HUD via the quick menu (three-dot button in the bottom right corner of the screen) by tapping the Head-up Display icon.
3. Click anywhere on the screen to see more settings for HUD mode.
4. Tap the middle of the three buttons, “HUD Mode”, to flip the image, adjust the orientation to display the reflection correctly.
5. Place the device on the dashboard of the car under the windshield.
You can adjust the position of the projected image by changing the distance of the device from the windshield.
Other options and modifications
By clicking anywhere on the screen when the HUD function is enabled, several function settings can be adjusted:
1. Dark Mode: Switches between dark and light backgrounds. You can choose the one you like better, or with which you will have better visibility of the image when bouncing off the windshield.
2. HUD mode: flips the image on the display upside down so that it appears correctly when you look at its reflection
3. Rotation lock: while it is off, you can rotate the display to change its orientation to portrait or landscape, then we recommend turning this button on and locking the rotation so that the display orientation cannot be inadvertently changed while driving.
4. Brightness level: increasing the brightness of the display will improve the visibility of the reflection from the windshield
5. Layout: you choose how the image will be divided into separate parts
6. Elements: you choose what information should be displayed in different parts of the screen, and in what color
