In this article you will learn how to navigate the details screen of a wave pick. You will also learn how to use it to pick products on the wave to be shipped on its individual sales.
Why you will need this:
Once a sales wave pick has been created, you need to pick the products in the wave pick from the mobile device, just as you would for a single sale.
Shipping a wave pick:
The mobile device has been programmed to efficiently ship a sales wave pick by displaying all the products, from all the sales and their quantities, grouped. It will feel as if you were just shipping a regular sales. Just as with sales shipping, as you ship, the web portal will reflect the transactions in real time. Also, multiple users can ship a wave pick at the same time.
Sales wave pick functionality currently only available on the iOS app.
What do you need to do before:
A specific sales wave pick needs to be located and selected. To read on how to locate a specific sales wave pick, click here.
The sales wave pick details screen:
1- Once you have located and selected a wave pick on the Sales Wave Pick – screen, the Wave Pick Details – screen loads:

The screen consists of the following parts:
A- Wave pick information: lists the wave pick and warehouse / space.
B- Search criteria: Tap on here to specify the search criteria.
C- Search box: type a search string to locate a specific item/product or to scan a part number.
D- Scan part numbers with built in mobile camera: Tapping this button, will load the built in device camera to scan part numbers in linear barcode or QR formats. When a product is scanned and found in the wave pick, the Product Pick – screen loads.
E- List headers: These are the different headers that list specific information of the listed products. You can tap on a specific header to sort the list by it. Tap once to sort asc, tap again to sort desc, tap again to reset.
F- List details: lists all the product details. Tap on a specific product to load the Product Pick – screen.
The column LOC (location) uses a smart algorithm to display the most appropriate location to pick the product from. It goes by location ranks. If the primary location has all the quantity to be picked, it is listed. If another location has all the quantity to be picked, that location will be listed instead. If no location has enough quantity for the product to be picked, the location, that has the highest ranking, and has partial quantities will be listed. If there are no locations with quantities for that product on that space, the column LOC will display a – for that product.
When you select a product from the list, the Product Pick – screen loads with the location displayed on the list already selected.
G- Navigation labels: It indicates the number of products in the wave pick and the relative position within the list.
H- Complete Wave Pick – button: Tapping this button will indicate that you have completed picking this wave pick. This doesn’t process the wave pick. It simply notifies the web that you, as a user, have completed picking products for this wave pick.
I- Assign to Sales – button: Tapping this button allows you to distribute the products picked on the wave pick among the different underlying sales assigned to the wave pick. After selecting a product to pick, the Product Pick – screen loads:

The Product Pick – screen is identical in look, feel and behaviour to the one from a sale. The idea is to create a consistent process between sales and wave picks.
The screen consists of the following parts:
A- Product information: Displays the product description and part number.
B- Shipping information: Displays the quantity to be shipped and the quantity already shipped for the product. This is shown in Each (EA).
C- Product image: It displays the product image, if any. If the product has no image assigned, the default SwiftCOUNT logo image will display.
D- Quantity to be picked: Shows the quantity that the user so far has picked and has yet to be sent to the server. The quantity displayed if based on the UOM selected (F).
E- Location From: Displays the location where the quantity picked and to be shipped will be taken from. To select a location, simply tap on this button and select one location from the list:

F- UOM selector: Allows you to pick and ship a product in a specific unit of measure. Note that you can pick and ship a product in a different unit of measure than the one specified in the wave pick.

You can only ship a maximum of quantity as per available on the selected location from.
If entering a quantity in a different UOM than the one specified on the wave pick, it will be converted over to the UOM specified. This might result on over-pick or under-pick.
G- Quantity input area: Depending on the entry mode selected, you will be able to enter the desired quantity.Smart entry mode (default): It allows you to quickly enter small quantities by combining taps of the main 4 buttons. It is intended for high input efficiency while using the hand held with one hand.
For example, to enter the quantity of 37, simply tap 25 once, tap 5 twice and tap 1 twice:

You can tap the buttons in any order to reach the same amount.
If you want to use the smart entry keyboard to enter bigger quantities, you can use the multipliers built into each of the 4 keys. To enter a multiplier, proceed to tap and hold the desired key. After a few seconds, the multipliers pop up will be displayed. Proceed to tap on the desired quantity. The multipliers screen will close and the amount will be inserted in D.

The multipliers screen also offers the option to remove from the entered quantity (Remove By:).
You can combine the multipliers with the 4 buttons to enter different quantities. For example, to enter the quantity of 530:Tap and hold the 5.
Tap 500 on the multiplier.
Tap 25 once.
Tap 5 once.
You can also use the slider between the 4 keys to fine tune your quantity entry:
Quantity slider To use the slider, simply tap on the circle in the middle and proceed to slide it up or down to increase the quantity. Slide all the way up to increase the quantity by 10 or slide all the way down to decrease the quantity by 10. Slide it up or down slowly to add or remove by one.

The traditional quantity entry mode works like a regular numeric keypad. You can enter any quantity just like you would on a regular numeric keypad. In addition, it allows you to use it like a calculator to perform basic calculations such as add 5 of this plus 7 more from here and 35 more from there.

H- Input mode switch: The default mode to enter quantities is the smart entry mode. You can switch to a more traditional numeric input mode by tapping this button. Tap once to switch to traditional input mode. Tap again to switch back to smart entry mode:
Traditional vs smart entry mode I- Processing buttons: After specifying the location to pick from and the quantity, tap on the check mark button to process the pick. You can also tap on the x button to cancel and discard your entry. Both actions will return you to the main wave pick details listing screen.
