Transfer products to another location

In this article, you will learn how to transfer products from a location to another.

Why you will need this:

If you have several locations, you might sometimes need to transfer products from a location to another. For example : from the backroom to the front desk, or from store #1 to store #2.

What you will need:

Assign products to a location. Click here to learn how to assign products to a location
To transfer products to another location, you have three (3) different options:

Option #1: Do it from the location module (by selecting the location)

Go to the “Locations” Module
Choose the location by clicking “View”

Select the product you want to transfer
Click “Transfer” button

Click “Edit” on the second line & select the location you want to transfer to

Enter the quantity you want to transfer
Select the unit of measure (UOM)
Click “Save & Close” to validate the transfer or “Close” to cancel it

Additional Options:

Click the “Tag button” to add a tag to your product (tag = identifier).

Option #2: Do it from the location module (by selecting the product)

Go to “Locations” Module
Choose the product you want to transfer
Click “View”

Click the “Transfer” button of the location from

Click “Edit” on the “To” line & select the location you want to transfer to
Enter the quantity you want to add or remove
Select the unit of measure (UOM)
Click “Save & Close” to validate the transfer or “Close” to cancel it

Additional Options:

Click the “Tag button” to add a tag to your product (tag = identifier).

Option #3: Do it from the product module

Go to the “Products” Module
Select the product you want to transfer
Click “View”

Click “Movements”
Click “Transfer” button

Select the location from
Enter the quantity you want to transfer
Select the unit of measure (UOM)
Click “Save & Close” to validate the transfer or “Close” to cancel it

Additional Options:

Click the “Tag button” to add a tag to your product (tag = identifier).
