Set a reorder point (by location)
In this article, you will learn how to set a product reorder point for a specific location.

Why you will need this:

The reorder point is the level of inventory that triggers a notification to replenish that particular inventory stock.

Defining the right reorder point is important to be sure to never run out of inventory.

You can use the re-order point by location to know when it is time to replenish your shelf from the backroom for example

You can print replenishment reports when a product in a specific location is running low

What you will need:

Assign a product to a location. Click here to learn how to assign a product to a location
To set a product reorder point for a specific location, you have four (4) different options:

Option #1

Do it from the locations module in the location section

Step 1: Select the location you want to set the reorder point for

Click the “Locations” module on the left banner, 3rd module.
Locate the location where the product is
Click “View”

Step 2: Set the reorder point

Locate the product you want to set the reorder point for
Click on the “+” icon on the column reorder point min

Enter the minimum quantity you want to have in stock in this location at all time
Click “Save”

Click on the “+” icon on the column reorder point max

Enter the maximum quantity you want to have in stock in this location
Click “Save”

Click “Close”

Option #2 : Do it from the locations module in the products section

Step 1: Select the product you want to set the reorder point for

Click the “Locations” module on the left banner, 3rd module.

Go to the products section
Locate the product you want to define the reorder point for
Click “View”

Step 2: Set the reorder point

Locate the location with the product you want to set the reorder point for
Click on the “+” icon on the column reorder point min

Enter the minimum quantity you want to have in stock for this location
Click “Save”

Click on the “+” icon on the column reorder point max

Enter the maximum quantity you want to have in stock for this location
Click “Save”

Click “Close”

Option #3: Do it from the products module

Step 1: Select the product you want to set the reorder point for

Click the “Products” module on the left banner, 2nd module.
Locate the product you want to define the reorder point for
Click on the “on hand quantity”

Step 2: Set the reorder point

Locate the location you want to set a reorder point for
Click on the “+” icon on the column reorder point min


Enter the minimum quantity you want to have in stock in this location
Click “Save”

Click on the “+” icon on the column reorder point max

Enter the maximum quantity you want to have in stock in this location
Click “Save”

Click “Close”

Option #4: Do it with an excel file

Step 1: Download Excel Template
Click the “Locations” module on the left banner, 3rd module.

Click the second cloud button to download excel template

Open file

Step 2: Fill out template

Part Number: (or item number) is your internal identifier for the item. Its purpose is to reference and keep track of that item internally.
WH code: the internal identifier for the store/warehouse
Location Code: your internal identifier for the location
Qty: the number of products you want to assign to the location
Is Primary: Put Yes if this location is the primary location for this product
Serial Lot Number: Enter the serial or Lot number of the product
Reorder points: Personalize the reorder points for a product in a location
Note: if you only need to upload your reorder points you can leave the rest of the cells empty.

Note: You can also update your reorder points by just uploading the same file as many times as you wish

Step 3: Upload the template
In the products menu, click the “cloud” icon (arrow up) to upload the template

Select the excel template you just saved
Click “Upload”
If you wish to cancel the process, Click “Close”

If everything is good, Click “Confirm and Go”

Now, click “Upload more” if you have more products to upload
Click “Close” if you are done uploading products
