Pre-assign a quantity to pick for a sales order

In this article, you will learn how to pre-assign quantities to pick for a sales order.

Why you will need this:

Once you have created/imported a sales order, you can assign how many you want a user to pick regardless of how many there is in the order.

What you will need:

Create/import a sales order. Click here to learn how to create/import a sales order
Define the permissions regarding sales shipment & preassigning quantities. This must be done in the outbound settings (under settings)

Step 1: Select the order you want to pre-assign quantities for

Go to the “Sales” module
Locate the sales order
Click “View”

Step 2: Pre-assign quantities of product

Locate the product you want to pre-assign quantities to pick
Click on the number of the “To ship” column

Enter the new quantity you want the user to ship
Click “Save”
