Delete a product (change status to inactive)
In this article, you will learn how to change a product status.
*Why you will need this: *
In SwiftCount, you can’t delete products due to their attached history to the account. If one of your product doesn’t exist anymore, you can change its status to “inactive” so that it doesn’t appear anymore in your “active products” lists…
What you will need:
Add a product. Click here to learn how to add/import products
Move product quantities in and out. Click here to learn how to move product quantities in and out
Step 1: Select the product you want to change status for
Click on the “Products” module on the left banner, second module.
Locate the product you want to change status for
Click on the status to edit
Step 2: Change status
Select the new status
Active: products are available for counting…
On hold: products are unavailable for counting but you can still do other tasks as transfers…
Inactive: products are unavailable for counting and other tasks. (Can be filtered out in product lists).
Note: Products with active on-hand quantity cannot be set to inactive. You will have to move out its quantities before changing its status.

Click “Save”
